Women in Leadership

WIL is a curated leadership development experience for 15-20 aspiring women leaders who are ready to step into meaningful communal board or committee roles.

JCA Women in Leadership Program

JCA is proud to be driving change to ensure more women are represented in leadership and decision-making roles across our communal organisations. We are committed to expanding networks, opening doors and creating meaningful pathways for women to lead and influence.

After the success of our inaugural program in 2024, we are excited to announce the second cohort of Women in Leadership (WIL) for 2025.

Why WIL matters?

Community organisations are the lifeline to a thriving society. Strong, diverse leadership is critical to the long-term vitality of our communal institutions. Women bring deep insight, lived experience and professional expertise that our organisations need. Through WIL, JCA is investing in the next generation of Jewish women leaders at board level.

Who facilitates WIL?

WIL is facilitated by Kerri Blackstone of Blackstone Training, in partnership with a diverse network of guest speakers from corporate and not-for-profit leadership.

What is involved?

The program will run for 5 consecutive weeks on Monday evenings.

18 August - 15 September 2025 from 6:30-9:00pm. All sessions will be in person at a Sydney CBD location.

Each session includes expert content, panel discussions and peer exchange, exploring the practical, cultural and structural challenges women face in leadership. The program culminates in a speed-networking event where participants are matched with current board leaders from across the community, creating pathways to action and support.

"To work with emerging Jewish leaders at the beginning of their journey is an opportunity not just for them, but as much for me, to contribute to their growth and development, supporting them to expand their impact and reach. WIL gave me an important reminder of the potential and possibility within the community, and the importance of paying it forward and contributing in a strategic way."
