How is Jumpstart funded?

The Giving Forum was established in December 2015 by a group of major local donors and their families. Its mission is to inspire philanthropy on a large scale and provide an enduring funding platform to guarantee the local Jewish community’s financial security and growth over the next century.

With such strongly aligned visions, JCA and The Giving Forum have formed a cohesive strategic partnership. JCA’ s co-ordinated approach to fundraising, engagement and the allocation of resources along with the strategic planning guidance it offers the community, is well coupled with the energy and passion emanating from The Giving Forum in its quest to change the face of philanthropy within our local community.

2016 saw the launch of a number of exciting JCA initiatives. Realising that the future of our community is dependent on us nurturing a future generation of community minded individuals and philanthropists, the JCA Jumpstart initiative was developed as an opportunity to engage with our younger generation, particularly the 25-39-year-old age group.

JCA looks forward to further developing its partnership with The Giving Forum through exciting and diverse new opportunities from which our community will benefit.

A giving circle is a form of participatory philanthropy where groups of individuals donate their own money to a pooled fund and deciding together where to collectively give these funds away thereby maximising the impact their donation has.
