JCA Cookies in the Community

What is Cookies for Community?
Cookies for Community is an initiative to engage younger children in our community in fundraising for JCA, as part of JCA Campaign 2023.

Who will receive a cookie cutter?
Cookie Cutters will be distributed through Jewish Day Schools, BJE and PJ Library from 19th May.

What if my child doesn’t receive a cookie cutter?
Please contact us at [email protected] and we will arrange for you to get a cookie cutter. Alternatively, there is a stencil available on the website which you can trace.

Do I have to follow the recipe?
The recipe provided is a suggestion only. If you have your own recipe or want to buy cookie dough that’s fine too

Do kids have to fundraise?
We encourage participants to fundraise for JCA as this is a great opportunity to learn tzedakah and to do something good for local Jewish community.

What do we do with the proceeds of sales?
There are a couple of options:
1. You can Pay Online at jca.org.au/cookies
2. You can Direct Deposit using the following bank details:
Account name: Jewish Communal Appeal (JCA)
BSB: 032 053
Account: 132 310

When making a direct deposit, please ensure you quote COOKIES & the organisation you are representing in the payment reference.

Are payments for cookies tax-deductible?
Unfortunately, purchases cannot be claimed as tax deductible gifts.

Do the funds raised go to our school/organisation?
The money raised from the sales of cookies will go towards JCA Campaign 2023 supporting 25 organisations in five sectors, Jewish Education, Aged & Community Care, Holocaust, History & Heritage, Security & Advocacy and Culture, Engagement & Outreach
